    Spare Ribs

Thanks for this Brunneria. I've also just spotted on the Tesco website Tesco Chinese 5 spice 34g for just 85p - containing Star Anise, Cinnamon, Fennel, Black Pepper, Clove so I'll give that a go as well.

    Spare Ribs

I cooked spare ribs recently and they were really tender and 'fall-off-the-bone' but they really needed a bit more flavour. The last time I ate spare ribs was probably last year and it would have been from the Chinese takeaway! I used to get the 'dry ones not the ones covered in sauce. So how...

    Sugar Free Ice Pops

Well..... The heatwave continues so I have now made my own sugar free ice pops. Now that I've given up baking with all those daft strange ingredients - I'm into ice pops! I bought supplies of the silicon ice pop moulds, sugar free dilutable drinks in various flavours plus some sugar free...

    Give Us Newbie's A Break.

I'm probably not a newbie now but maybe still new compared to many others. I've always found this a friendly place to be and especially when I was very new it was nice that so many people took the time to answer my questions. I mainly just lurk at the moment due to other things going on but I...

    Sugar Free Ice Pops

I do like to make things but have never actually make iced lollies or ice cream. I have some slushy strawberries past their best and some whipped cream so wondered about combining those and freezing into portions.

    Sugar Free Ice Pops

Unsurprisingly the shops are now all sold out. I was thinking of making some so wondered if anyone else here has made their own? The ones I did find were sold by Tesco in the Disney Frozen boxes. Iceland also do sugar free in a box call Tip Top or something like that - but again everywhere is...

    PreDiabetes Help

I find testing is a good motivator and keeps me more focussed. I like to see the evidence of what is otherwise invisible and find it helps to see what I can and can't have.

    Making sense of blood tests

I'm still checking what I can venture back to and just had a hankering for a jacket spud. I doubt I will bother again as seeing the evidence of the blood test is a great way to actually show me what's happening and a good motivator.

    Making sense of blood tests

OrangeTeddy would be delighted to test another couple times just be sure...... but I think I know the answer. The smaller portion, i.e half is something I was considering as if successful it would give more and different options for work. I don't suppose half would equate to a 2 point rise...

    Greek yoghurt or Greek style?

Is there a difference? I think there is with taste. I had Greek yoghurt and actually enjoyed it given that I am not into yoghurt but the Greek style seems not as nice. Well to me anyway.

    Making sense of blood tests

So after 6 months I'm still checking what raises my blood sugar and what doesn't and I really wanted jacket potato to be on my 'can have' list. So I bit the sugar free bullet and had the first jacket potato in so long and as expected it will not be on that list but I'm trying to make sense of...
