    'dont' inject in a public toilet !

    I was given to understand that injecting in a public loo was a no no, some time ago. I have done it in the past, but received funny looks if anyone came in.(druggy perhaps) So now I quite happily inject in public, discreetly if possibly. If people think it odd, that is their problem not mine.:-))

    how do you accept it?

    Diagnosed 20 years ago. Progressed to Insulin 10 years ago. Non of this came as asurprise to me, Diabetes is in my genes. I used to see my mother injecting my Grandmother from when I was a small child. 75 now. So learn to live with it, you,re still alive, enjoy each day.

    Thanks for your reply Katherine. I'm on Novomix 30 Penfill which is a mixture of rapid acting and long acting Insulin. I did look around the site but couldn't find any info on flight travel. Pearl

    Travel to USA

    I shall be travelling to America in Nov. I am on Insulin and metformin and my control is good. I take my medication before Breakfast and evening meal. With the time differance I.d like some advice on how to cope with this please.
