Hi Was diagnosed in beginning of December type 2 with hba1c of 80 put on gliclazide 80mg in morning and 80mg in evening I am pcv driver so doctor won't let me drive yet after 8 weeks hba1c down to 55 now changing meds from gliclazide to metformin doc says I won't need to self test on metformin...

It does work mate I was diagnosed 8 weeks ago my hba1c was 80 was at docs today and it's down to 55 in only 8 weeks well chuffed so well done mate

Hi britishpub Bgs got too be between 5-8 To drive bus I'm not quite there yet and they going to change meds but not done it yet mate

Thanks prem51 Shouldn't take much more to get there I'm on gliclazide so they gonna change it to metformin that way less chance of a hypo
