    Libre2 Plus and Android 16

Hi Ian, I've got a Google Pixel 8 with Android 16 on it. It connected to the Libre2 plus (trial version) fine and didn't lose comminucation at all. There are a few things to check though as Android can be a bit fiddly. Have you made sure that the Libre Link app has the "allow background...

Hi I’m julieclarke I’ve joined to find out more about T2 diabetes

That is quite a while ago. I got bought some sugar free chocolate last christmas from a family member. It was so kind of them to help but I didn't have the heart to tell them that it was actually high in carbs. I gave it to my daughter instead and she enjoyed them. I really...

A question : is it legal to refuse replacement of not working item?

Haha, sorry about that. I'd done a search for dexcom as I'm on a trial for that and this thread came up. I didn't read the date, doh. Sorry again.

Hi I’m julieclarke I’ve joined to find out more about T2 diabetes

It must have been at least 9/10 years ago. They banned it as it was misleading if I remember correctly. My father in law was a type 1 and he used to go on about them as he considered it dangerous as no doubt people were thinking that they could just eat a lot of it with no ill affects for...

A question : is it legal to refuse replacement of not working item?

What software did you use AK? Does Dexcom make an API available and therefore the software gets it's information from that? It's not anywhere near as clean cut as other people have said earlier, terms and conditions cannot overwrite your statutory rights. Why were you using other software...

You can't sell diabetic chocolate in the UK as it is against the food labelling regulations. I think they banned it being called diabetic choclate about 10 years ago. For some reason I can eat milk chocolate and it doesn't seem to affect me much, I don't ever have it though.

Diet Coke & high blood sugar

I've never had any rises in my BG when drinking pepsi max cherry. I don't drink a lot of it, but if I have a can without food or anything my BG just hovvers around the normal figures. However, my BG can go up or down when I've not eaten anything at all - not by a lot but it seems to be...

    Freestyle libre 2

I'm sure it will be worth a try - don't forget they will be able to see by the app that it has failed so hopefully that should help getting a replacement.

How to prevent the post breakfast spike

That's great news, well done - shows that it's really paid off for you and I'm really pleased for you. Hope you really enjoy your holiday and get to relax. I'm not going until November so it's a couple of months wait for me - wish I was going next week.

How to prevent the post breakfast spike

Hi Mrs SLD. How are you getting on? It's been a week since I stopped using mine and I miss it. It's a bit annoying that I never feel any different whether my sugar is high or not so I have no idea if I am doing ok or not - I'm eating roughly the same stuff though so presumably it is. I'm...

How to prevent the post breakfast spike

Same here, I don't really like dark chocolate much, it's the milk chocolate that I like. Even though I know it doesn't spike me I've still not had any since. Think I'm saving it for a rainy day - but even then I'd only have a couple of chunks. I really miss Yorkie bars which were 3 for £1...

How to prevent the post breakfast spike

I seem to be the same with white bread and white pasta. Congrats on more breakfast's that are spikeless, these CGMs are very useful. Mine has run out now but I'm confident-ish of what to do to keep it low. A brisk 20 minute walk 15 minutes after eating seems to really help too. I...

How to prevent the post breakfast spike

Interesting, as mashed potatoes (or indeed any potatoes) seem to send me sky high and well over 11. It's a shame as I quite like potoatoes but I think I'll not be having them again. The fish and chips sent me to 10.4, down to 8.6 over two hours so I won't be having them again. They were...

How to prevent the post breakfast spike

How are you getting on Mrs SLD? I've just had fish and chips for the first time in over 2 years to see what happens - I'm just waiting for the big spike. The rest of the week so far has only gone up to 6.9 so not too bad.

How to prevent the post breakfast spike

That is an amazing reduction if it is anywhere near accurate. I took nearly two years to get down to 48 (I got divorced in July 2024 and my ex-wife used to do all the cooking, as soon as I cooked for myself my figures plummeted). It sounds to me like you are certainly on the right path, and...
