    Type 2 Statins

Statins are known to thin the tendons. After being on 40mg atorvastatin for two years, my lipds are perfect. But I have achilles tendonitis in both ankles and can barely walk, and that, with considerable pain. Research it please. 25% chance with this statin to have tendonitis.

    Dawn Phenomenon ???

I take Novolog at bedtime to combat this issue and am able to exercise in the morning as coffee causes my liver to dump glycogen from the previous day's carbs. 2 cups of coffee will immediately send me from 5mmol up to 13 mmol. Exercise afterwards increases the efficacy of the novolog in my body...

Study links artificial sweetener erythritol to possible increased risk of heart disease

Xylitol works for me. It doesn't raise my blood sugar. I actually didn't realize it had this reputation until just researching it just now.

    Disposable syringes

I prefer disposable syringes. I like to mix short and medium acting insulin in different ratios depending on what I decide to eat.

    Bread?

I bake my own sourdough bread with millet, sorghum, arrowroot, brown rice flour and psyllium husk. It's hearty and filling. Even so, it will spike my sugars. To combat that, I take 500mg metformin HCL in addition to my insulin.

    Tendon and Foot Injuries

In recent years, every time I start an exercise program, no matter how slowly or moderate, I develop achilles tendonitis (AT) or plantar fasciitis or both. Currently I have both conditions in both feet. I hear it is more common in diabetes. Anyone struggling with the same?

    Metformin and CBD

*******. They have sugar but at least it's a small candy. Vaping I'm afraid of due to smoking being bad for diabetes. Sublingual is too hard to accurately dose (for me).

    Tendonitis/Tendinothapy

I have achilles tendonitis in both feet/ankles for about 1.5 years now. It came on suddenly, and I attribute it to starting on 40mg atorvastatin. Statins are known to weaken the achilles (as is being diabetic). My doctor did not warn me of this side effect.

    Injection sites not working.

I am a type I for 37 years and also inject into my stomach. Sometimes it doesn't reduce my sugar, and I chalk that up to insulin resistance. To remedy, I might get on the treadmill or stationary bike. Another thing that cuts resistance is metformin. I had to fight my doctors for decades to get a...

Also am taking 30mg/d biofisitin and 100mg/d resveratrol and various other longevity supplements. CBD is my new addition and it is making me less anxious. By itself it doesn't...
