Hello I should have mentioned I'm diabetic and have been for a while now. So the diagnoses makes sense. I started my laser thing too it was uncomfortable with the lens and all the light flahses. Not what I expected. I have done one eye so far and next one to come. Hopefully this works out
Long story short we have a home care nurse for a family member and I asked if they could do my insulin cause my arm hurt and I couldn't do it. I noticed by feeling she didn't let go of the pinch till the injection was done. Would that affect my reading or sugar level? Or insulin amount that waa...
Hi all I suddenly found out I have retinopathy as per last eye check up. My vision seems same but get tired easily and get blurry times. The first doctor had injection plus laser treatment, the second doctor said injections only and the third one recommended laser treatment. The last doctor gave...
Thank you guys. Still trying to adjust and it added things to be done. Yeah like @JoKalsbeek mentioned sleep was erratic too. I wondered if it was just me my other family seemed ok. It had me wondering if my insulin was faulty too. It's taking a while to get back to the normal, I have to say.

This is the first time it seems out of whack. I experienced a loss in the family and it was sudden. It had lot of changes after and the stress of everything seemed to make my sugar erratic. Highs and lows, more highs. My dn doesn't seem to think the stress has a role. I'm on insulin but yeah...
I know you're not supposed to inject near the belly button but I accidentally miscalculated in a hurry. I'd say 1 1/2 inch by glance. How bad will it be? Absorption error? Anyone know why to stay away?
I forgot to add we have a family history of type 2. I think why I was initially diagnosed as such. I was a bit heavier then too. Bad diet. Can I know why 18 is too young for type 2
Very informative thread. Thank you. I will ask my doctor about those tests. I want to be sure. I was started on insulin but I wanted to try oral medications but the doctor thinks it won't work.
Follow up question has anyone trouble pulling out a needle it just at the end? It's almost all the way out but the tip got stuck in the skin? That maybe the little part broke off in the skin.
I know we should take care of our skin. Down side for me my needle slipped while I tried injecting on my thigh. I got a nice bleed and it sucks. Seems my skin got oily. How do I maintain the good skin but avoid these accidents?
My doctor says I'm now type 1 when I was initially diagnosed at age 18 as type 2. I've been on insulin 2 years. From what I read it's not possible but maybe 1.5. Any thoughts? Or is the doctor wrong? Should I get another opinion?
