What are you doing to keep covid out of your home

Hang on a minute, your directly implied. You said 'Please do not assume that everyone is at the same level of risk from COVID-19 as you perceive yourself to be'. If 'yourself' is not directed at me, then what is? You do not know what level of risk I apply to myself.

What are you doing to keep covid out of your home

What's that supposed to mean???? You have absolutely NO IDEA how I perceive my level of risk.

What are you doing to keep covid out of your home

Seems to me that there are a lot of paranoid people on here. Yes, take precautions by all means, but come on guys, some of these threads are taking it to the extreme.

Type 1 & dealing with hair loss

Fact of life mate, I would say most guys loose their hair. Me? Mine fell out in abundance when I was pre-diagnosed 30 years ago at 30 years of age. Just accepted it and got on with the more important things. Life is too short to worry about vanity.

    T1d and weight gain

Change your diet & exercise! Try a low carb diet. Less carbs, less inulin. I used to be 192lb, now 154lb and still going down. My best advice for weight loss? Cut out the alcohol.

Is Everyone Managing to Eat usual foods?

Giving the big supermarkets a miss. Local butchers crammed with meat, esp chicken breast. Load of eggs too. High street was quiet apart from the queue for the pharmacy. I'd also recommend Holland & Barrett for alternatives, might be a bit pricier, tho worth it IMHO. Also, try TRIBE...

Newbie to forum but not to diabetes

TJR56 - I didn't wait for a Libre, I funded mine myself, though thankfully I now get it on prescription. Go for it if you can afford it (£100/month). It's well worth it.

Newbie to forum but not to diabetes

Hi Carl, I recently changed from being a long time Insulatard user to Losatan. It's worked out great, far better control. Been T1 for 30 years myself.

Cut down on the amount of pasta.

    What's your alternative to potatoes

    Simple. Just take more insulin.

Monthly allowance for healthy food suggested to help tackle type 2 diabetes rates

What a load of rot. This country is the archetypal Nanny State.

    Parkrun and spiking blood sugars

As someone said, everybody's different. I am a T1 of almost 30 years and do intense training 4-5 times a week. I have never had my bg going up. Moreover, it falls sharply, sometimes to such an extent that I need to refuel ( Lucozade sport does the trick!).

    Need Snack Ideas

Just have a drink of water.

    Flu Jabs

I have been T1 for almost 30 years now and have never had the flu jab or the flu. I am skeptical reading all the replies; 100% those who say they 'forgot' to get their jab caught the flu. Sounds to me like medical people trying to scare diabetics into having a jab! Make your own mind up...

Carbs Allowed Per Day Help Please

I'm 29 years IDD. I've never had a set amount of carbs to take, just adjust my insulin dose accordingly. However in the last few months I have switched to a low carb diet and cut down massively on bread, pasta, rice and dairy. my weight has gone down and my HBA1C reduced. Don't get hung up on...
