Managing sugar levels during long distance cycling

Has anyone experienced insulin delivery issues approximately 12 hours prior to Pod requiring changing? I am experiencing reduced/no insulin delivery during this time, which is leading to unexplained high blood sugar readings.

Recently got a Cellnovo pump but having hypos

I've been on a Cellnovo pump for 8 months. Am Type 1 & road, track cycle as well as MTB. Control much more accurate but speak with your diabetes team to find appropriate profiles. Trial and error as usual with this condition. Good luck.

    Track Cycling

I track and road cycle. Early morning sessions I find there is no additional CHO requirement for up to an hour. Later sessions I require approx 85g per hour and no fast acting, Novarapid for me. Will reduce my background Humulin I by 50% for all training sessions. Agree with izzj09's comments...

    LCHF for t1

Hi sklane11 low carbs approach works for me. Lower levels of novarapid minimises liklihood of error. Still require 85 g CHO per hour for road & track cycling.... Then adjust insulin accordingly.
