How do. I’ve had all the tests for LADA, I was diagnosed at 32 with hba1c of 106. My bmi is 27 and I have an active lifestyle. Nothings working for me so I imagine insulin soon. Pants isn’t it :(
But you’re not alone. It is indeed really unfair.
Hia
I’m definitely not LADA. They’ve tested me twice. I’m type 2 and diagnosed since 2018.
Currently on metformin and Sitagliptin. I’ve got a referral back to hospital as GP nurse doesn’t know what to do with me.
Breakfast every day is low carb & low sugar bread with half an avocado, smoked...
Good morning!
I’m recently off gliclazide and was really looking forward to also getting rid of the constant hunger I attributed to the glic.
If the last 4 days are anything to go off, turns out the glic wasn’t the issue - I’m just constantly hungry!
So it must be because my hba1c is 106...
I am the most dried up husk [emoji23][emoji23] I’m T2 since 2018. I SWEAR BY Nivea Soft for everything. Hands, feet, body, face, lips.. I’d be horrific without Nivea Soft by the bucket
That’s exactly how mine go!
- Doppler for pulse
- Pricky sticky thing for sensation
- Musical tuning fork for vibration test
- little moisturiser for funsies
Hia. I’m lactose intolerant and I use Arla Lacto Free Semi Skimmed. I only use a drop and only have 2 coffees or teas a day max. Per 100 it’s 2.6g carbs but I reckon I use less than 50ml a day :)
Hi everyone - here’s the update:
The nurse agreed in order to save my job, I can stop taking gliclazide.
She has suggested sticking with metformin and Sitagliptin, and would like to try me on a drug called Empagliflozin HOWEVER, I should have my enforced medical at work first and discuss...
Hi Brian - thanks. My carb intake is around the 60-70g a day range and I walk my dog 3 miles at least every day plus weighted workouts, and my job is constant up and down, walking along a lever frame and pulling levers.
I’d say I’m fairly active and I do look after my diet. I’ve been diabetic...
Thank you very much for GPL-1 suggestion - I will look into that immediately ahead of this afternoons appointment!!
And yep I’m U.K. - the receptionists seem so angry when you question them or ask for better!!
Thanks again :)
