Ahh thank you very much! Not being a parent myself yet, when she told us the sugar levels I was like omg that's seriously low! She has a midwife appointment tomorrow so I'm sure she'll ask about any concerns but I went to see baby today and OMG dinky little thing!

    New Baby News

Hello I'm posting on behalf of my friend who has just had a new baby. Little girl born Friday morning weighing 5lb 7, so very small! She said the baby's sugar levels were 2.6 then after feeding rose to 3.9, then dipped to 2.2 and again rose but only to 2.8. Docs haven't said she's diabetic but I...

    Hypo Feelings!

I know lol funny isn't it! She also said she felt so relaxed like mind was willing but body wasn't, to get something sugary that is. It was great chatting to her about it as like I said she's not even diabetic! She's had further tests and all is well thank you :)

    Hypo Feelings!

Hello everyone, I met up with my boyfriends sister on Wednesday after a bit of a worry at the weekend. The worry being that she is expecting her 2nd child in July (she's not diabetic) but she had ketones at some point during the night and then in the morning after hours of sickness/headaches etc...

Very high or very low BS after exercising

Hello! I'm experiencing the same thing, I've just been swimming and when I tested prior to going I was 7.7 just tested again and I'm now 17.3. Last time I had eaten was around 2pm, swimming about 6.30pm.

    Anybody skate?

Ah sweet! I'm also type 1. I've got some inlines but I switched to long boarding back in the summer so skates were thrown into the cupboard, however I am tempted to give them another go! It's much more fun than sweating it out in the gym!

    Friendly fruit

Hi everyone! I'm type 1 and I adore fruit! Most I'm ok with apples, bananas, oranges, berries but I read that mango is supposed to help stabilise sugar levels. I had mango for breakfast with low fat natural yoghurt and I'd tested and was 9.1 I tested an hour or so later and they'd shot up to...

    Tattoos and type 1

Hmmm yes I think you are right, tbh I will ask at my next appointment for any advice from a medical perspective and then when I get to the tattooist ask about aftercare etc etc, I know plenty of type 2's but maybe 1 type 1 and she doesn't have any either lol. Thanks x

    Tattoos and type 1

Ah thanks, that makes me feel better as my control is a bit mental at the moment, doctors still tweaking my insulin ratios etc!

    Tattoos and type 1

Morning everyone, I'm considering getting a tattoo, it'll be my first one. I know being type 1 doesn't stop you from getting one but there are obviously things you need to consider before doing so, was just wandering if there are is any advice or "guidelines" you could give me or that you were...

    Anybody skate?

I agree! I'm no pro at ice skating I mean I've been a few times for birthdays etc but it's a lot "easier(?)" to manoeuvre and your falling seems less dramatic than on in lines lol

    Type 1: Prescription fine

Well I've got my certificate and went to pick up my Levemir last week, the pharmacist handed me my levemir but didn't give me the paperwork to sign so I asked about it and he replied there was no problem because he would sign it! Now I'm not sure what's been said to who and when but it seems...

    T1 CURE...????? really

Right ok, we're obviously not ever going to come to any common ground so let's leave it here. You say you're not pessimistic I say you are, you basically think I'm weak for having hope, I disagree.
