    Advice wanted please

Thank you, if i must go on a tubed option, i think the T-slim would be my preference from what i am seeing :)

    Advice wanted please

I love your response, thank you! I'm unsure if the patch is being offered, however i can ask. It seems much more convenient than a tubed pump, does it work with samsung devices? After reading some of these responses i think a pump belt on my thigh would be a good option if needed - still...

    Advice wanted please

Thanks Juicy :) I have a hoop skirt on my dress so plenty of room to put it on my leg haha! I'm definitely not expecting immediate wonders once i go on the pump, but i tend to get a bit erratic when i'm excited, and as i love dancing at parties that has a huge effect on my readings, so we are...

    Advice wanted please

Hi! So i have been on injections since i was diagnosed at 4years old, i'm now 28 and have agreed to go on the pump for various reasons, my nurse has been pushing it for years but i never (and still don't) like the idea of being connected in via tubes. I worry about catching them or pulling them...

    Corona virus

Might seem obvious but... I've noticed my immune system is so much stronger when my control is better, so for me, coronavirus is one hell of a motivator to keep up with it :) I'm not hugely worried but i've printed out the sick day rules just in case! Fingers crossed we'll all be ok :) I'm...

Dry itchy rash on my left palm

Sounds like eczema or more likely psoriasis, which quite commonly affects the palms. Steroid cream and a docs or chemist appointment as suggested seems the best option, be careful with moisturisers as they can aggravate it more. I'd recommend Letibalm if you're going to try one, it's not cheap...

I admire anyone who can play music with hands and feet at the same time! I certainly can't! I'll stick with my Beethoven and if i want a challenge, try Einaudi's Nuvole Bianche. Which i can proudly play half a page of. Keep on battling through all them Emajor sharps :singing:

    T1 & Norovirus

Hi @LooperCat , hope you're starting to feel a bit better? You are doing awesome with your readings! I always found dioralyte, while it might be rank because of the salt, was really good at keeping me hydrated. Hope you're doing better soon!

Thank you for going into this! I've recently come out of several years of what you call "bad control and denial", and i'm glad to see the other side! I knew and told people i was diabetic but i just didn't care. Now i'm finally I'm starting to lose weight and i feel like i have more energy, me...

    Corona virus

They closed a high school near me for ONE DAY after they got back from a ski trip around northern Italy :banghead: fair enough, its enough time that they could all get tested for it but i'd be burning my suitcase :doctor:

It's like the dream of almost every diabetic out there (well, at least mine!) I'd love to hear more about it :) And a lot of symptoms of what he described above are extreme cases. NOT the norm. I have experienced a lot of them and i understand that while it might seems scary for someone new to...

You HAD T1 for 54 years? And your description thing says you're not diabetic? Did you get a transplant? @Claire.mumford sorry i'm a bit late to this post, i hope you're feeling a bit better about it all now? I've been diabetic for 20ish years, since being 4 years old. Everyone still gets down...

Low carb or no carb - lessons learned...

Very to the point explanation, thank you!!! :) so people who use Tresiba are generally more at risk of hypo when drinking alcohol? Obviously for reasons dotted all over this forum, everyone is at risk.

7 year old with type 1

I can so relate to this, as i was diagnosed at 4 and i was asking my dad roughly the same thing at the same age. But that's the thing - being diagnosed at that age, does he remember what not being diabetic is like, or is he looking at his friends at school and comparing himself to them? School...
