    Statins a blanket policy

    I'm type 1 and have been on statins for years, they've never messed with my glucose levels. Both my parents had heart conditions and my mum sadly passed away from a stroke, so I'm taking them to hopefully help protect me, I take Atorvastatin.

    Cateracts!

    I've had cataracts both eyes and had ops on both, I no longer need glasses for reading or distance, first op done nearly 10 years ago but one of the new lenses has slipped slightly, so think in time it will need replacing again, this was picked up at my diabetic eye screening.

    Slightly different as I'm a female, type 1 for the past 50 years, no family history of it, we have 4 children, now 33, 31, 29, 27 and none of them are diabetic, we also have 2 grandchildren both free of diabetes

    Bit low this morning at 3.4 at 7.24am 6.7 before bed at 11.30pm

    I don't eat fatty foods as I can't eat it due to getting tummy pains if I eat anything really fatty, it doesn't matter what I eat it still happens, I will have a look on google to read up on dawn phenomenen, thanks.
