    High Cholesterol levels

That’s what I was thinking. I never knew what the ideal ratio should be but now you mention it, my levels are far better than I thought. The only thing that is is swaying me towards taking the tablets is the fact my dad died of a heart attack due to high cholesterol. My doctor said that it puts...

    High Cholesterol levels

Hi everyone, hope you are all well! I thought I would just give you an update. Since my last cholesterol results in July, I have improved my diet slightly. I seen my GP 2 weeks ago who said that a total cholesterol of 5.1 isn’t that high however given that my dad had high cholesterol, he gave...

    Freestyle libre sensors falling off

The kinesiology tape does work to a certain extent. I feel after a few days, the edges start to loose it’s stickiness and often when I go to change the tape, the sensor has also start to loose the stickiness and I end up just making the sensor worst by trying to replace the tape. For that...

    Freestyle libre sensors falling off

The original libre sensors used to be like this with me. I used to struggle to get them off! I haven’t been using an alcohol wipe since they stopped supplying them but have used a wet wipe instead. I’ve never had to shave my arm before so haven’t thought of the need to start now.

    Freestyle libre sensors falling off

Nope. I’ve always used the same shower gel and deodorant. Yeah I noticed that, that changed about a month after getting the libre 2 and didn’t make much of a difference. I was told by abbot that I could use a perfume free wet wipe on my arm and that should work just the same but still doesn’t...

    Freestyle libre sensors falling off

I have been using the freestyle libre since January 2019. The sensors were great and most of them lasted the full 2 weeks on my arm. I was upgraded to the libre 2 in March this year and since then, the sensors have been a nightmare. I haven’t had a single sensor stay on my arm for the full 2...

    Eye problems

Just an update on my journey with laser treatment. I attended my last appointment about 3 weeks ago and had a chat with the doctor who was doing the laser treatment. I made him aware that I was really worried about losing my drivers licence. His response was that if I didn’t get the laser...

    Eye problems

Thank you Injections sound terrible but I’m glad that it has helped your vision. How long ago did you start getting laser treatment done if you don’t mind me asking? The floaters are nightmare. I’m glad mine have gone (touch wood!) I really feel for you having to put up with them everyday.

    High Cholesterol levels

Things that are really high in high saturated fat such as red meat, pizzas, butter. A lot of stuff I was eating was a red label for saturated fat. I got my bloods taken in the afternoon and have never been told that I need to fast before getting them done so I have just had a normal day when...

    Eye problems

I really appreciate everyone’s input on this. Reading everyone’s experiences has helped but my worry at ease a bit. I am due to go back to to start laser treatment on my right eye tomorrow. Still feeling very anxious about this. The biggest fear for me about getting the treatment done is...

Thank you to everyone so far for the replies and encouragement :) I will be sticking to my appointments when I get them from now on. My biggest fear is losing my sight and also losing the ability to be able to drive as I depend on being able to drive the car to get to work and go to the gym and...
