I'm looking to go to Australia on a working/backpacking holiday. I just wondered if anyone has ever done this before and how easy is it to do with diabetes?x

Are you type one or two?
Because I've had DKA twice now and my second time I got rushed to a&e with blue lights were doctors had to put he into a medical induced coma to protect my organs for my family this was there worst nightmare
So don't troll on things you don't have a clue about...
Hi just looking for some advice really I've never travelled aboard or to any festivals while attached to my insulin pump, and well this year I'm gonna be giving them both a try, so I'm just looking for tips regarding airports, time difference, where to put my pump while by the pool/beaches...
I had this problem aswell I've swapped from injections to pump so many times because I was getting to the point that I was physically sick with the thought of sticking something into my stomach, where abouts do you wear your pump?
And do you have anyone at home that can help you?x

I'm also going this year my DN told me to make sure that you have a letter listing everything that you are taking with you otherwise they will take unlisted items off you, and i think they advice you to get injections x

Thanks there's no groups that are close to my home, I just want someone that I can talk to,ask questions and rant to when down and that doesn't pretend to know what I'm going on about or completely switch off because they cannot be **** listening to x
