As you can probably tell cara147m, most people just get lucky most of the time when their results are so low.
Don't worry about your results compared to everyone else's.... as long as your basic diabetes management is around about where you want it to be then don't put pressure on yourself...
If I go to bed with a blood sugar level of below 10mmol/ls, I expect to wake up on a level of between 1.8 and 2.4 7 hours later.
I have messed around with reducing my basal dosage regularly but have found having a high blood reading before bed is the only way to negate the morning low effect...
I don't take anything with me. I don't run far. 12km is my limit at the moment. I test my blood before I go out. If I am lower than 9.0 I will eat a snack or drink a small amout of lucozade.

I have gone whole weeks without taking ANY insulin while on holiday in hot countries. I have relatives living in Southern Spain. The first couple of holidays there meant I was living off sugary drinks while trying to balance food and insulin until I realised insulin was not helping my diabetes...
Is this serious? You would not eat Chinese at all? :?:
I don't often eat takeaways, but when I do (in the evening usually) I pump myself full of insulin then dealing with any lingering high blood levels the next morning.
I went on it 2 years ago.
Did 4 consecutive Thursday mornings at my local diabetes centre.
I attended having been invited by a random letter. Am under the care of the nurse at my GP and hadn't visited my diabestes centre for about 10 years.
I got a lot out of it. I had understood what carb...
