Hi, I managed to sort it, I changed to evening and it seemed fine, but needed to reduce it to 12u at first, but since the weather has changed I'm eating different foods I've upped it to 14u and it's keeping nice and even now, no more night hypos.

I wish I knew, I am always sporting around 5 or six small bruises. I had to stop using a pump because of huge bruises, (black that lasted weeks) I guess I just bruise easily, I never jab hard either. I'll follow this thread to see it will help me too.

I get so tired of trying to xplain to so called 'foodies' that if I eat certain vegetables (Obscure things) it will 'cure' my type 1 . Also from other diabetics trying to tell me to low carb! I've tried it and can't do it. My levels are fine and I'm ok. I'm wondering what new fad will be next?

I'm with you there, It's just me and my partner, he eats meat and 2 veg, chips etc... me I just resort to sandwiches and the occasional piece of chicken with a baked potato. toast for breackfast.. as he is now made redundant and I am retired, we just can't afford fresh veg every day. or anything...

Why do your b.g. levels soar when you have a cold. woke this morning to a 16.5 now still up around 13 !!! corrected every so often. still stays up there. I wonder what makes it go high?

The consultant I saw wasn't the head guy, I'd never seen her before, but she seemed so nice, and on leaving said " 'll send the dsn a letter" and make an appointment for 3 months to let me know how you're getting on.. duh? then she left! I hope this will be ok and they'l still approve it...

I plucked up the courage to call the diabetic team today to find out what's happening - good job I did.. the consultant I saw has now left! and there's no letter, (they have to have it in writing) re the approval, and my DSN is on holiday! I'm so frustrated with it . So I they (the office)...
