    Corns

Just seen your query after search for discussion of this same subject (ie corn forming & don't use corn plasters). They tell you to take good care of your feet & then you are left waiting for an appointment with the situation getting worse & more painful. Hope ur nurse/chiropodist move it along.

WARNING-Don't open if squeamish. Pacemaker fitted.

@Daphne917 ... Interesting - good to hear your hubby doing OK with a second pacemaker ... Out of interest, how long after op did it slip?

WARNING-Don't open if squeamish. Pacemaker fitted.

I too had a pacemaker fitted end of May... just browsing & wondered how you are getting on @Pilgrim22. I've been back at work 3 wks now; working up to full time again & have a check with hospital next week. All generally OK but shoulder still feels very tight.

    Operations and blood glucose levels

Ok to add to this discussion, I had a pacemaker fitted 3 wks ago & everything seemed to be going well apart from sugars a bit high. Felt very ropey last night with hypo-like symptoms at 6.3 on my meter. Got completely checked over with nothing obvious to doctor (all well with mechanics & no...

    Suddenly low

Just a quick update. Tummy upset turned out to be Complete Heart Block. Admitted via A&E early hours of 27th May; Angiogram same day - arteries & heart valves healthy - pacemaker fitted on 28th - home 29th. Yay the NHS. Nearly 3 wks later now & feeling much, much better [emoji41]

    Suddenly low

I already use 2 apps for this purpose & this really was a dive in BG with no apparent cause: food, insulin, activity. As above I now think I had the start of a stomach bug but still not sure whether that was cause or effect.

    Suddenly low

Oh yes, @azure, horrible. Follow up... Felt very rough all evening but had to dash to loo a few times - wonder if this was the start of a tummy bug?

    Suddenly low

Just had a weird low. 5.8 at lunch (fab) - usual lunch & 4 units Novo. 6.8 at 4.00pm but feeling rubbish so had biscuit despite reading. 4.30 ish still feeling rubbish so took BG again... 3.8! Dextrose x3. At least explained how was feeling. Only thing I can think of is weekend was quite an...

Yep, me too, already tried I'm afraid with not a lot of luck. Wish I could remember where the first one came from [emoji12]

    Waterproof holder for glucose sweets?

Thanks for this. What I had was a fair bit smaller than this but browsing their website may find something similar [emoji4]

    Waterproof holder for glucose sweets?

Ullo, all. A few years ago I bought a neoprene wrist band which had a pocket in which you could put sweeties/glucose tabs when swimming. Only used it once or twice & now can't find it's 'somewhere safe' place. Does anyone know where I can purchase?

People & BG highs & lows

I can organise my face OK but no matter how much I pretend my BG reacts

People & BG highs & lows

Anyone else find that the people around them influence their levels? My grand-daughter's mere presence (I can be sitting just watching her play - not overly active myself) brings my levels down quite sharply; whereas some people's mere presence can send them rocketing. Guess this is down to...

    Vitamins for Type1

The last two weeks my BG results have suddenly become much better - generally lower and not as many spikes. I am a 'woman of a certain age', T1 for 14 yrs, and had put some of the difficulties in management down to hormonal changes over the past year or so. The only changes I can really think...

Type 1 Diabetes is killing me

Very relieved to see you are getting help. Having T1 is no walk in the park but paying attention to your food intake & insulin balance does not have to be such a pain and, to be honest, lovely, there is not much choice. If you don't then time is the one thing you won't have. Many posts here are...
