Mostly drink spirits now with Coke Zero or wine.on a Saturday night. Couple of pints doesn’t seem to impact me BG wise though.
Been looking for Michelob Ultra but can’t find it anywhere? Anyone got any ideas where to get it?
I’m not on any meds, pre-diabetic and diet controlled with extensive exercise. I had a large cappuccino and chocolate shortbread at Costa today . Very naughty I know. That would’ve been packed full of carbs on reflection .I normally have some level of ketones in my urine because of a low carb...
On a low-carb/keto diet and run 6 miles a day 5 times a week to manage my T2 and something I noticed has happened today which I’ve not seen before. Did a urine dip test and ketones were showing which is normal for me with this diet , but my glucose reading was also elevated. Never seen this...
Thank you, I do hope it does encourage others . Obviously I need to keep on it and not think I’ve beaten this because we all know it can creep back. I am convinced that low-carb has been the key for me.
Got my Hba1c blood test results back today. Really pleased. Gone from 75 to 46 in 4 months. Pre-diabetic levels. Low carb/Keto and exercise. Doctor really happy. No meds but I’m not resting on my laurels . Low carb definitely works for me [emoji106]. It can be done so please don’t give up if...
That’s really interesting I’d never really thought about omeprazole as I used to take it regularly, but since going low-carb and keto I’ve not need to take it for a long time. Never made the link between low-carb and a better digestion
I tend to have a couple of beers on Christmas Eve for a treat but keep to low carb. On the big day - smoked salmon starter and traditional Christmas dinner but no potatoes and a few drops of gravy. No desserts but love a cheeseboard and a glass of port [emoji106]
It’s quite strange, I’ve been using unsweetened soya milk for over a year and now really like it. Coffee consumption went right down when I first swapped, but now I look forward to my early morning Cuppa.
Just a coffee with unsweetened soya milk fur breakfast
Goats cheese omelette for lunch with walnuts and full fat Greek yoghurt.
Prawn and smoke salmon salad for tea
Plenty of water and a Bacardi and Diet Coke as a treat as a nightcap
Pushing to stay in Ketosis [emoji106]
Hi everyone! Does anybody know if registered diabetics are eligible for the autumn covid booster in the U.K. ? I’ve struggled to find that information. Thanks [emoji106].
