What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

8.2 Is this an OK place to ask when it will drop more, or if it ever will? It's always higher when I wake up, my lowest was 7.8. I'm not on meds, and I dont test regularly, once a week or so.

Lindt Excellence 90% Cocoa Chocolate = Amazing

I'm in Canada, and never heard of those brands. I have some 100% bakers chocolate from the local grocery though, which I'll be trying soon and making bark from.

    Ice Cream/Popsicles

Im Canadian. Yeah, butten is generally $5 for the off brand. Im lucky if I can get it cheaper. It's often much more. Reading the wiki; "Heavy cream must be at least 36%." 35% is the highest possible cream/fat content I can get in my area. I cant afford it unless its 50% off due to being...

Lindt Excellence 90% Cocoa Chocolate = Amazing

I like the 99% Lindt, mix it with natural peanut or almond butter, pumpkin seeds, and toasted coconut smiles, and salt. I just leave it in the freezer and snack on it whenever I want some. http://www.lindt.ca/en/shop/our-brands/excellence-ca/excellence-cocoa-99-ca Its nice to suck on a piece...

    Ice Cream/Popsicles

I'll see if I can find any recipies with cream cheese in them! I honestly have no idea what heavy cream is. All the keto blogs and posts say to use it but nothing is labeled as heavy where I am. Is it just 35%, or whipping cream?

    Ice Cream/Popsicles

I cant have any sugar at all, so thats not on optionf or me either, but I dont want added sweet, I just want something to make it less like frozen ice. 35% or whipping cream is $4 for 500, and $7 for 1l. I buy the 18% because it's the cheapest at $4 per l.

    Ice Cream/Popsicles

I do not have these products here, but they are extremely high in sugar.

    Ice Cream/Popsicles

Yes, all sweeteners. Stevia induces vomiting. The others cause anaphylaxis. They are 100% not an option for me at all.

    Ice Cream/Popsicles

Bananas are completely off limits for me now, its what I used to use. Any sweetener will hospitalize me. Pure stevia is the only one that doesnt cause anaphylaxis, but it makes me extremely ill and induces vomiting. Erytritol also causes the anaphylaxis. I have no issue with dairy, but the...

    Ice Cream/Popsicles

Please read carefully, I am HIGHLY allergic to ALL sweeteners, please do not suggest any recipes with them including stevia. I cant seem to find ANYTHING in google. Im looking for a popsicle (or ice cream) recipe with almond milk. I drink unsweetened chocolate version, or the vanilla. I really...

    Broth?

There are no thighs that cheap in my area. I'd eat chicken all the time if I could get it at prices like that! Walmart does not sell per pound here, just single priced flats at $10 for legs and thighs. And, I have no idea what a 'superstore' is unless you mean Walmart superstores? There are...

Hello! I was wondering if you could lock this thread I made? The last post made there is very shaming and unhelpful and I do not wish to encourage more posts in the topic. https://www.diabetes.co.uk/forum/threads/anger.133930/#post-1702876

    Scratchings (Pork)

Try a Mexican store or aisle in your groceries, if you have those where you guys live; "Mexico is one of the world's largest producers and consumers of pork rinds, known as chicharrón or chicharra. It may still have fat attached, called in Spanish "chicharrón con gordo" in central México." This...
