I have been on the omnipod for roughly 2 months now, and so far I have had fairly good results. I have had one or two pods that have not agreed with me (left red Mark's where the insertion was.) It is worth sitting down with your diabetes specialist to see if you need different correction...
I am exactly the same, I could easily demolish a cake, chocolate bars, biscuits, everything. I feel like I am always hungry. But a normal meal doesnt appeal as much as junk food does! How is your diabetes in general?
Take extra medication with you and make sure people in the group are aware your diabetic. Take your tester and hypo treatment everywhere with you.
One thing I have found is that people don't no much about diabetes, and when having a hypo, just assume I need to inject insulin. So make sure people...
I haven't been a libre wearer for that long, but my God are people intrigued by it.
I get asked all the time what is it, how does it work etc.
So I have got bored of answering normally and I'm starting to have a bit of fun with it...
So far it has been

I will have a search for dawn phenomenon
Also I'm guessing during the night I must be applying pressure on it. As for finger prick testing, mine are nearly always the same as the libre
my ratios have always been 3:1 which after doing dafne figured was really high compared to other people. I have a freestyle libre so can monitor my levels easily, but i have a recurring pattern of my morning bg being anything above 14.

There is quite a few people on here around your age. You most definitely ain't alone. It gets a lot easier to manage, especially after looking through the forum. Good luck x
I am not on a pump yet, but had a demonstration omnipod to trial for a few days (no insulin) and it was very small and didn't get in the way of anything. This is the choice I have chosen for when I get mine in a few weeks time.
I think you can go on the omnipod site and request a demo one
To be honest it has been interesting, It is so much easier than finger pricking. Putting it on with the applicator is easy and painless. I cant wait till I get more data on it to see the graphs.
So I started with a libre yesterday and all is going well so far, but I've got a question which I don't think was asked during the educational session.
How do I take the sensor off after the 2 weeks?? Does it just peel off like a plaster? Is there some sort of easier way to peel it off?
Any...
Youu shouldn't have to lie! Just be honest, your diabetes doesn't determine what you can and cant do! As somebody who employs a lot of people and interviews a lot of people, I appreciate honest people. You can not be judged on having diabetes against somebody who doesn't.
Before now I have had...
