    Why is sugar so bad for us. It is grown and comes out of the ground the same as carrots, parsnips and so on. Sugar is from sugar-beet.

    The government should decree that sugar manufacturers no longer process granulated sugar but all sugar should be caster sugar that dissolves where granulated does not as it stays in crystals. Healthier nation would save the NHS a large amount of money. Food manufacturers could only then use caster sugar.
