    Help - information overload!

I have managed to obtain a few meters by contacting the manufacturers. To be honest I didn't expect freebies but they seemed more than happy to send them. If you have no luck pm me and I can send you one and you'll just need to get your doc to prescibe the strips / lancets.

    Does anybody have....

Thanks for that. I have already registered but must admit I'm looking for something that I can work with offline. This is mainly because I'm not always connected to the net and so if it is offline it won't stop me from updating, tracking etc. The other thing is I'm abit concerned about...

    Does anybody have....

A document / spreadsheet etc that they use to track other info such as blood pressure, weight, Cholestrol, HbA1c etc ? I know ther data management software for the ultrasmart records all this, however I'm using a meter and software which just records the readings. I don't want one...

    Bayer not getting my cash

Well the ultrasmart arrived and I've been trying it for a few days now. To be honest its a bit of mixed reaction. On the plus side you can record additional info such as weight, cholesterol, A1c etc so when I get my past readings it will be useful for me to be able to monitor whats...

    Do I need....

Ok you got me convinced...looks like I'm shopping for some more bling... In all seriousness though I can see the sense in what your saying. Thanks for the advice.

    Do I need....

a medical ID card or have I been sucked into a world of paranoia (he says as he looks over his shoulder). Just over a month ago I was quite happily trundling along in life and happily abusing my body (with chocolate and bacon butties, before you smutty ones at the back make up your own jokes)...

    TEST STRIP QUESTIONS

Test strip plonker I think I may have been a bit of a plonker so feel free to tell me. I've been using a meter the past which didn't require strips to be coded and so I would put al the strips in a single vial to reduce what I was carrying. My new meter has arrived and this does need strips...

    Bayer not getting my cash

I must admit I didn't realise how quickly you can work through a tub of strips (already on my third tub and was only diagnosed at the start of June) so Bayer have already lost out. The Jazz I'm using is quite a decent meter (in my limited experience) and the only downside I'm now finding...

    Confused

Crikey I shudder at the thought of cutting out caffiene....I've cut out the sugar from it but cutting out the coffee would just a be step too far

    Confused

Thanks for that. It may also help explain why my readings seem to be heading quite nicely in the right direction and then for no apparent reason seem to spike back up again. I basically cut as much sugar out of my diet as possible and replaced the chocolate with fruit, eating more fish...

    Confused

Hi guys & gals I'm a bit confused and hope you can shed some light. I decided that as I need to exercise I would go swimming (not been for 20 years) and was advised that I should check my readings before and after any physical activity to see how it affected me. The session was 9pm to 10pm...

    Bayer not getting my cash

Wavesense sent me a free Jazz and even included the data cable to hook it up to the pc. Accu-check sent me a nano as well although they would still charge me £20 for the software. I started using the Jazz (mainly because I had everything to track everything on the pc) and I'm finding it simple...
