I diagnosed myself in 1964. My problem has recently been recognized. Am I alone?

I got married and my wife's doctor listened to my symptoms and sent me for a glucose tolerance test. I did not realize that what I ate would have effects 3 1/2 hours later. It took about another 45 years to realize that my chronic fatigue was due to less sugar than my very low sugar...

I diagnosed myself in 1964. My problem has recently been recognized. Am I alone?

You didn't read what I posted. In 1963 the general practitioner used by my wife was very well read and recognized symptoms of low blood sugar. The specialist thought all patients refereed to him were diabetics and treated them that way. In fact I have been locked out of the bulletin board...

I diagnosed myself in 1964. My problem has recently been recognized. Am I alone?

You have it backwards. My general practitioner (my wife says he was famous for studying all the time) guessed that I had low sugar episodes. The specialist was stuck in the mistake doctors have made for a long time that all humans process sugar the same way. He assumed my glucose tolerance...

I diagnosed myself in 1964. My problem has recently been recognized. Am I alone?

You sound like you would find the following interesting. I have overwhelming anecdotal evidence that both forms of reactive hypoglycemia are due to an auto immune reaction which has destroyed one type of cell in the adrenal glands. This reaction leads to stopping the release of hormones that...

I diagnosed myself in 1964. My problem has recently been recognized. Am I alone?

I had a worse problem. My form of sugar processing is not found in the medical literature. I had to figure everything out for myself. I said to my wife's doctor you know more than me. He had read my web site and he said you know more than me. He than said after listening to my wife's...

I diagnosed myself in 1964. My problem has recently been recognized. Am I alone?

Hi I have reactive hypoglycemia. If I eat a lot of sugar/starch/alchol I get very low sugar about 3 1/2 hours later. Recently doctors have identified my type of problem. I also get chronic fatigue if I eat too much sugar/starch/alchol doctors are mostly unaware of that problem for people...

I diagnosed myself in 1964. My problem has recently been recognized. Am I alone?

In 1957 I started having symptoms which a smart doctor realized (my educated guess) in late 1963 sounded like low sugar episodes. When my glucose tolerance test rose for 2 hours before dropping precipitously (test extended) in the third hour the (expert?) doctor said I was prediabetic and...

Hi I have a web site (not allowed to name it) which describes a hypothesis about sugar processing in humans. 4 people from google have thoroughly read my web site and they take my money to advertise in the U.S. and India. I am now read by an average of about 25 people in the U.S. each day...

can type 1 diabetes be controlled with diet?

I have a form of reactive hypoglycemia. I know you can control your blood sugar with diet but I do not know if you can handle the excess protein by cutting your protein input and/or detect the problem (ammonia?) and occasionally use insulin and/or some other method to control the problem.
