Collecting used stamps for Diabetes charity?

Hi, As I am a typical tight Yorkshire lass I throw very little away (Gordon would be so proud of me). I have a huge bag of used stamps, I just wondered if anyone knows of any collections of used stamps that go purposely to benefit Diabetes charities? I have in the past donated them to other...

    TEENAGE DIABETES.

Well I'm a parent and my son (diagnosed T1 at Easter) isn't quite a teenage but he will be 12 in September. All I can tell you is that I am worried sick about him, I see his two older non diabetic cousins doing all sorts of normal teeanage stuff and I wonder how on earth he's going to be able to...

Do we have any motorsport fans in the house?

I love F1, I'm the only one in the house that does though. My cousin was Karting World Champ a few times many years ago.

I thought it was bad enough having to do Matthew's lunchtime BM in the reading corner, which is situated in the main corridor in the entrance to the school. So far he hasn't needed a lunchtime injection otherwise we would be doing that there too! I would object to injecting him in the toilets...

Hi there, Yes we have been through the mill with my sons school too, although that is a primary school. There is a post on here somewhere about it as they decided to 'exclude' him for a week. They have been a bit better this last couple of weeks but that is because Matt is in his honeymoon...

    Did your taste buds change..

I don't know if this is common or not but my son complained for quite a while that thigs didn't taste the same. In fact for the first month all he ate was rice krispies, even they taste funny to him now. He was diagnosed at Easter and is 11. I know that is of no help to you but at least you...

Hi Young, I suspect we might be going through the same with my son. He's 11 and just have 5units of Lantus at night. We went out for a very nice meal to Frankie & Bennys and since then his sugars have been a real roller-coaster. Prior to the meal he was avering 6 but over the last two days he's...

Thanks for the advice SarahQ. Bailey has managed to learn how to sit on command, but only if he thinks we have a treat. He also gives a paw when he wants you to give him a treat and you're right, he has the most soulful eyes! We are having to watch him constantly at the minute as he wants to...

A quick update on the doggy situation, we went last week to look at a litter of labrador puppies and came home with Bailey Boo. He's a chocolate lab and is 9 weeks old today. He is soooooo naughty, we have spent all week chasing him round stopping him digging in next doors garden, eating the...
