I hope it works for you if you go ahead with trying it. Can't comment on its effect on Type 1s, but it certainly didn't work to maintain steady levels for me as a Type 2 - my body reacted to it just like 30g (from memory that was the amount of carbs in one serve) of ordinary carbs, absolutely nothing "sustained release" about it. But as I said, no idea how it would affect a Type 1. I don't recall a discussion about this on the forum before though.
