This is a life long condition mate. Manage it and not the other way round!

Don’t ever give or lose heart. The complications waiting down the road are very serious (blindness, kidney failure, amputations, heart disease etc.).

So make sure you control your bg levels regularly.

Make sure you eat healthily (replace white bread with brown bread, reduced carbs means reduced insulin), include high fats (healthy fats) in your diet ie oily fish like salmon, walnuts, olives and olive oils, cold pressed rapeseed oil, chia seeds etc.

No more fizzy drinks, junk food, high carbs etc.

I also buy the “Cavaliers chocolates” from Friars. Its the only recommended brand for diabetics. It’s made with Stevia so it won’t spike your blood.

I also make my own low carb bread, cakes, ice cream etc from tons of recipes on the diet doctor website and Keto recipes from YouTube!

Yeaaah, it’s been tricky coming to terms with it recently but I think I’m getting there. yeah my specialist has advised me on all of the long term effects of poor control and I want to do everything to avoid it ! Thank you for the link as well, will definitely invest in some of that !!
