Hello and welcome.

Could you clarify, please? Are you asking for financial aid from the U.K? I beleive that there are charities operating in India that help with T1 education and (limited) supplies but I do not have any details, perhaps other members could help with that aspect.

Hi @kunjava kr ,

Welcome to the forum.

I'll tag in @tvnerd who i believe is around the same age as you & a fellow T1 countryman?
She also may have her "finger on the pulse" regarding any news on this sort of topic..

I wonder if it wouldn't depend on which state you live in? I hope that other members will come to your rescue with useful replies.

Hello kunjava kr, does your job have health insurance?if not I would suggest that you enroll yourself for a policy so that you can cover doctors appointments and emergency expenses atleast. For diabetes supplies I know that many people in India go to government hospitals where you can get insulin for free. The only issue there would probably be that you won’t get insulin pens, rather you get the vials and injections. You may also be able to get a Accucheck meter and testing strips from there. There are also a few Indian brands that specialise in low cost diabetic supplies such as Amrita (https://www.amrita.edu/research/pro...ump-and-low-cost-automated-biomedical-devices). Please do talk to your doctor before switching insulin and the amount you are required to take for bolus and basal. You may always ask your doctor for insurance options that will cover the cost of medicines too. I hope this was helpful!
