Hi guys,
my work load has been horrendous for the last few months and I have had to put my exercie regime on hold (cycling, gym and walking). I was diagnosed 2 years ago and have just had my second annual review. I am on diet (and exercise ) only and have enjoyed HBA1C in the 5%'s for the last 21 months.
This time around I was worried that my HBA1C would suffer as I have stopped exercising, though I have maintained my lower weight. I have had the results of my diabetic retinopathy screening and the optician said I am perfectly clear with no hint of diabtic or any other issues. My HBA1C also came in at 5.4 to my great relief. I am very grateful for this, but do not want to regress so have committed to make time for the exercising again! I put my results down to my low carb regime and weight management, which I try to maintain at sub 30 grams per day.
All the best - Steve
