Had a hypo last night around 2am levels were at 2 when partner checked them. Is it normal that you’d be unable to move legs with those levels. Left me almost feeling paralysed until levels came back up

That can happen. It’s not nice and movement should return as levels come back up.

Hello @Tomk18 Yes it can happen, low blood glucose levels can do some very strange things to the body and mind, hopefully it's a rare occurrence, but any further concerns are best raised with your diabetic team.

I hope you know what caused it though so as to avoid it happening again tonight ? It's always best to avoid night time hypos as much as you can.

Hi,
This exact thing started happening to me when hypo in the night a few months ago, it had never happened in thirty years, so I was really frightened by it. I am going to ask my diabetes specialist about it at my next appointment as GP was as usual not interested or didn’t believe me ...
I hope it hasn’t happened to you again!
Best wishes

I sometimes suffer from sleep paralysis which for a few moments means I can’t move anything - it’s quite frightening even though I know what it is and it will soon pass.
