What does that mean?
I love the App. End of!
If someone has one or two posts, or has recently signed up, how can they not know they are newbies? That's the point....they don't know they are newbies............apart from which they probably haven't even got a proper diagnosis let alone a results print out and they don't know they are important till someone tells them and asks those frustrating questions.
It is not a question of patience. If you don't have the patience to work with the beginners, it's time to take the advanced classes for a while and let others work with the newbies.

exactly my point. They dont know that the type they are, or how the meds they are on will influence our replies. So if the information is there at sign up, it bypasses several posts and responses to try to get the information. The information we need to help is right there at the beginning.Of course they know they are newbies but ..........."AS" newbies they don't know the things you want to know.......one missed word and the whole answer changes......

You are making this sound complicated. What we need to know is asked for on the personal details page and the pull down menu gives the options, albeit lacking "don't know yet" or similar.Of course they know they are newbies but ..........."AS" newbies they don't know the things you want to know.......one missed word and the whole answer changes......
they know what meds they are on. If they say 'dont know' to the type of diabetes, that is also information for us to tailor our replies. The thing being if they don't know the answers how can they put the information in.......surely its better to ask the questions you want the answer too......
I accept your opinion on this matter. Why do you have this stance?I have tried to be a clear as I can........I am obviously not using the right words so I reiterate my first statement........."newbies cannot and should not be made to fill in any information they don't feel happy giving"............ even if you don't like it

Then they shouldn't expect safe comprehensive answers to their questions either - it's nothing to do with anybody "liking" it and everything to do with safety and appropriatenessI have tried to be a clear as I can........I am obviously not using the right words so I reiterate my first statement........."newbies cannot and should not be made to fill in any information they don't feel happy giving"............ even if you don't like it
My interpretation of @Mike D was that if the information isn’t readily available then he won’t ask for it and won’t offer help or advice? Bending in the breeze meaning nonplussed, or on the fence.
I take it as 'no info, I can't be bothered, let someone else do it '
