Type 2 Anniversary

So Saturday is my first anniversary. Well it’s the first one of when I first got sick, in emergency with kidney stones and dr told me I had diabetes.

The official one where it was hbaic etc is t till next Friday!

But Saturday feels like the biggie.

Anyway I’m thinking of buying myself a 1 year present. Something that reflects the good rather than the rubbish of the last year.

I thought about a bracelet, my friend thought about something for the house.

Any ideas?

Sounds like a fine plan to me!
I do not have a clear diagnosis date but noting your diaversary and celebrating getting better can't be wrong

My 2 year anniversary on 31/8. Hadn't thought about buying myself a present but actually might be quite nice as some form of compensation!

It's my 1 year dia-versary today, and I am enjoying a glass of wine this eve. Not exactly celebrating, but recognising that diagnosis turned my life around. Ditched 3 stone and HBA1C from 69 to 28 and feel great! My diagnosis was genuinely a blessing in disguise. Go on, treat yourself x
