So, switching over from libre to libre2. Given the huge number of people about to do this its fairly sure it'll be a well checked and bug free process, yes? You gotta be kidding.

OK, I am a non-standard customer, but this is entirely the fault of Abbott. My internet link is not fast enough to download the Libreview program within a certain time limit, so I'm not allowed to download. I get around this by using diasend, which uploads to itself, to librelink and has no connection speed limits. No problems.

So, I finish my last libre sensor, upload via the the reader and UPS cable to my computer and up to diasend. I then wave goodbye and start with the Libre2 experience.

Link to computer. No you didn't, there's nothing there says computer. Alright then. 20 minutes later computer has been forced to admit there is something on a cable, in a format it can access.

Try running diasend. Program doesn't run, entire error message is 'Freestyle Hub unavailable'. This is a checkbox during installation that we were told not to check if we wanted to use the reader, not a phone. (My powers of Google-fu are unsurpassed).

Wander over to Abbott website hoping to download freestyle hub. Abbott site says bupkiss. (All hail the Google-fu). Found this on another site
"Abbott Diabetes Care, the manufacturer of FreeStyle Libre, has unfortunately decided to remove the ability to upload data to diasend® via the LibreLink app – starting January 20th, 2020."

Ahhh. I wibble for a bit, then carefully re-read. OK, no data from LIBRELINK to diasend. Don't care. But does librelink include the upload from reader to internet via computer. Abbott website says it doesn't, then goes on to heavily imply it does.

Decide I don't care, just want freestyle hub bit of program. (Here my Google-fu fails me, can't find it).

Delete all diasend related stuff from computer. Reinstall. Fail. Delete all diasend and libreview and librelink, and anything else even vaguely related. Reinstall. Diasend works beautifully, even retaining my data and share preferences. Libreview crashes computer. You know, I haven't seen a blue screen of death in some time...

Anyway. If you move from libre to libre2, delete everything, then reinstall. That's three hours I'll never get back.

Sorry if you read this. I just had to get it out somewhere.

Hi @Seacrow , you are welcome to vent.

I sorta feel yer pain, but for a different reason.. But i have got the L2 working on a 3rd party phone app. & i'm impressed with the accuracy end to end on that.

My only guess is it may have something to do with the new algorithm set up on the L2 that may not be having it with the older L1 data stuff???

To be fair, i don't use the Abbott stuff apart from just the sensors then track & react to my BGs 24/7..

I went back to the L1. it works with the dated tech i got. (till they stop making them, I cant justify spending on gadgets.)

The cynical side in me as a musician is Abbott are protecting their "IP" (Intellectual property) Hence the delayed release of the L2. & thus messing up the "gig" for their "captive fanbase audience?"

But hey! i recently heard Abbott have a new "album" coming out..... (Ingeniously titled Libre 3.)

My blood glucose doesn't do flat and steady, its either heading up like a rocket or falling way fast. So when libre2 came along with alarms I thought wahey, no more getting up to swipe a couple of times a night (also hypo unaware).

I don't mind Abbott protecting their software IF they let me use it in the first place. Purposefully stuffing up the workaround I have to use because they won't LET me use librelink. Well, they're on my 'don't buy from these unless there's no option' list.

And as for 3, judging by 2 we won't be getting it for many years to come.

Hey, I wouldn't disagree on the 3.. "Said" to be like the 2 but smaller &'slimmer?

But hopfully then 2 will be totally Sorted.. Getting "cracks" from 3rd party firmware & apps is like scoring heroin...
The Abbott app stuff as a day to day user for me is "wanting."
The sensors. For me, I can't knock...

I've commented on another topic. My Endos & D specialists don't know what they are dealing with.. I fund & trial my own, leaving them to play "catch up."

Sounds to me as if your problem is that Abbott discontinued their relationship with Diasend in January as they pre-announced last year. I don't think it has anything to do with Libre 2.
Your diabetes team should know this so I am surprised they would request you to upload to Diasend. My team have begrudgingly switched to using LibreView.
Are you able to visit somewhere with faster internet to download LibreView on your computer?
Non pandemic, I would suggest a library or cafe but o am not sure the options at the moment.

What's your mobile signal like? There are plenty of solutions over the mobile network that can provide fast speeds. My daughter has a 4G router in her home and connects all devices to that just like regular broadband users. There are a number of unlimited data SIM deals available for less than a land line broadband.
