I've had type 1 since I was 5 and I'm now nearly 26 so very nearly 21 years. Ive had numerous hypos in the morning over the years and was hospitalised once. I now do atleast 7 bm's a day to make sure it doesn't happen again. The most important time to be above 10 is before you go to bed. If you're low when you're awake then you are able to counter that without any problems.
