When they did a study in Scotland and tested cpeptide for all their T1s of at least 3 years duration quite a few (6.8%) people got rediagnosed as T2 or MODY.
But with an hba1c of 9.6 I would argue that some sort of medical review is pretty urgent and I genuinely have no idea whether the OP is still in a honeymoon period or actually incorrectly diagnosed (or something else?)
