I have type two Eight years a few months ago went in hospital with high keystones so currently on insulin as they can’t say if type one or two my question is I have been suffering with swollen & sore calf muscles they say it’s no connection so could it be dehydration any help would be great Geoff

Diabetes usually causes tingling or coldness in the soles of your feet, but your calves usually don't hurt or swell, so I think your doctors are right that diabetes isn't the cause.

It probably sounds like it's bound to happen. I meant that complications from diabetes manifest themselves in the form of tingling or cold in the feet, but not that these complications will occur 100%. I hope I didn't mislead you.

Ha @Geoff_Woolman like you I have read dehydration can cause you issues. I would have to ask how longs its been going on for and are you drinking enough to make you think its not dehydration?

It does not sound like Neuropathy if that's what your worried about. ;)
(obviously only a Dr can diagnose)

This is going to sound silly but are your socks to tight?
My calf's balloon up and are practically rock solid if I have on socks that are to tight.
