Hi,
I have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes since December 2012. Until September 2024, for the most part, I was treated with metformin 2000 mg daily. Because my FBS were high (160-170) and HbA1c 7.1-7.8, I was added to Jardiance 10 mg, and later 25 mg. My FBS were a little better (150-160) but I had problem with my weight. So, I was added to Rybelsus 3 mg for 1 month and after, for 2 months, 7 mg. I stopped taking Rybelsus due to severe constipation. My Rybelsus was replaced with Trulicity 1.5 mg, but the constipation problem remained the same.I drink first in the morning10 g macrogol in water solution, then one spoon of extra virgin olive oil, then 300 ml of warm water with 1/2 lemon juice and 1 tsp of honey, then a large coffee with a few almond milk, then 200 ml homemade kefir. This is my morning protocol. My digestiv transit is very long (over 48 hours). I don't know how to skip this constipation and I have no idea how long could it last. I made so far 3 Trulicity injections.
I would like to know if anyone has had similar experiences. Thanks in advance for any advice/experience.

My understanding @cmatanie is to drink lots of fluids . The senior (103) I help out with is prone to bad constipation, she is given lots of fluids to help everything through.

I know it's a fruit and therefore not ideal for us, but I find a kiwi fruit each day seems to keep things moving. I had a lot of gut problems during/after a prolonged stay in hospital, wish I'd known about it then.

Thank you for your reply. Yes, I read about kiwi and I ate one some days ago. I will try to eat one daily. I used, so far, to eat plums. Last 2 days it's a little better. I began to take daily Forlax (macrolog PEG 4000) 1 sachet 10 g.
I wish you all the best !
