Hi all, it's been a while. So I am on a minimed 780g pump and using th simplera sync sensor. Everything was fine on my Google pixel 7pro handset until a recent android update, now I cannot connect with the app. I a. Looking at getting a new phone, but trying to check the compatability is turning out impossible as it just loads and nothing. Is there any other way of trying to check without having to actually install the app on the phone. I don't want to get a new phone and it not work, all help welcomed

As this happened just after you updated the android system it may be that it’s the system upgrade that isn’t compatible rather than your device.

If you post the version of android you upgraded to other members may have relevant experience(I’m an iPhone user so can’t help with that).

If you don’t get any replies here maybe contact Medtronic and ask before buying a new phone.

I certainly know it doesn't work on my OnePlus12r (android 16, nor when it was still android 15)
Luckily you dont need the app for the 780g to work (though it does make uploading your stuff far far easier if you do have it)

Larger updates sometimes take a while before the app works again. iPhone currently works with the app, it’s only when the new phones release in September that it takes a couple of weeks before the app works again. I’m part of a large Facebook group where people frequently post whether new android/iPhone updates work with the app. Most people turn off automatic updates so they can still use the app until it works on the latest update.(https://m.facebook.com/groups/119376721997721/?ref=share)

Many thanks for your response, and the fb group link, much appreciated x

There is this page on Medtronic's site: https://www.medtronic-diabetes.com/en-gb/check-compatibility-app

Though admittedly the search bit seems to not be working currently, may be worth trying it tomorrow afternoon though (ie hopefully something will have been kicked to get it working by then)
Yeah I noticed this yesterday, it was very frustrating. I have been on this evening and it is working. The phone I am using the app 9n is listed as compatible, even with the update to Android 16, and the phones model number.
