My name is Faisal. I am 35 years old, married, and have a 10-month-old daughter.

I was officially diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in October 2024. At that time, I weighed 96 kg and was prescribed Ozempic, which I took for three months. Unfortunately, it affected my digestive system, and I developed ongoing gastrointestinal problems. I was sick on and off for the next 6–8 months. During those three months, I lost 26 kg.

I stopped taking all diabetes medications in April 2025. My HbA1c was 5.7% in July 2025 and 6.1% in May 2026.

Over the past few days, I have noticed several concerning symptoms. Whenever I drink cold water, I have difficulty breathing. It feels as if someone is strangling my neck. I also experience episodes where my breathing seems to skip. In addition, I sometimes become suddenly confused, whether I am at home or at work. For a moment, I feel disoriented, wondering what I am doing or where I am.

I have also noticed that I sometimes start rocking back and forth without realizing it and repeatedly fidget with my thumbs and fingers. These episodes happen suddenly.

After eating rice, I often develop body aches, headaches, shoulder pain, back pain, and leg pain. Yesterday, after a long time, I checked my blood sugar two hours after lunch, and it was 190 mg/dL.

Could these symptoms be related to my diabetes, or could they be caused by something else?

Nobody on this forum is competent to diagnose. I'd consult my doctor. Nothing you describe sounds like any diabetic symptom I've experienced.

Agree you need medical advice. One problem with diabetes is that it's linked to a number of other conditions one of which could be the cause of these symptoms or not.
