FRIO wallet - Customs and airport security

Hi. When i go holiday it tends to be to warmer climates but i always struggle in keeping my insulin cold until i reach the hotel. Does anyone know if you can take FRIO wallets through airport security and onto planes in my hand luggage? Thanks

I had it in my hand luggage when I travelled to the UK last week. Having said that, I have a vague (not 100% reliable) memory of being complained at when I did it on a previous occasion. Having said that, it still got through.

I’ve taken one through without activating it, and then activated it after I’m through security before.

It could depend on the airport, some have the new scanners with a higher liquid allowance, some are still on the 100mls in a clear plastic bag, and coming back could have different rules to going. I think @Lakeslover idea an excellent one

I guess like everything it may depend on the airport, but I've just travelled France-Portugal-Brazil & return with FRIO activated and in my hand-luggage with no issues whatsoever.. maybe first time ever I've NOT been stopped at any security check.. and by the way it works great. I kept it activated when in Brazil as I took it with me everywhere and I trusted it better than my room fridge! I've also travelled with a flask-type cooler before with freezer-block inside and with that I was stopped at local airport, but it was allowed through although I had to open it for verification. FRIO is much easier.
