Huge lapse today.

I went out for a pizza lunch. Told myself I deserve normalcy once in a while, I'd eat 2 slices and take the rest home and freeze it for the occasional treat. I ended up eating half a huge pizza and had the other half cold for supper. Why oh why do I do this to myself? Not often, but too often. This is what my CGM thinks of it. It's probably worse in fingerprick reality.

Don't negate your treat by feeling guilty about it! Once in awhile won't do you any harm, I don't suppose. I had a sausage and egg McMuffin the other day, and enjoyed every bite! And half a pork pie for lunch today - actually, more like 3/8 as I couldn't manage all my helping and gave the last bit to my spouse.

Depends really on what you do now. Back on the wagon, or pizza every day? Treat it as an opportunity to learn. You have just confirmed that your system, at present, cannot handle that level of carb. Move on.

my diabetic nurse once said to me to me the occasional treat isnt going to do much harm as long as it is not all the time
you deserve the odd time (with your levels)
then she said I didn't say that
