I've been using the Libre sensors (2, then 3) for a number of years and beside some operational issues, haven't had any physical reaction. When I got switched to Dexcom, it was fine at first but over time the sites became highly irritated after a few days and scabbed over om sensor removal. That's when I went back on the Libre 3 sensor.
My Inset cannula for the MyLife Ypsomed pump is now giving me a very similar reaction and I dont know what to do! I cant use metal cannulas as they get incredibly irritating even while they're inserted.
Is it possible that I've become allergic to silicon, or possibly the adhesive these items use? Any similar experience would be amazing, thanks in advance!

I guess you probably know all this but thought it might help, you can get barrier creams, I have used them in the past I used Trio Elise worked a treat and a devil to get off but no irritation. I use it rarely now, but on the off chance my skin flares up its works. For me its the adhesive and no I dont think its abnormal for our skin to flare up, I have used products for years and suddenly my skin will react. I have lost count of the bouts of contact dermatitis I have had. Hope it gets better for you xxx

I was thinking allergy too before I finished reading your question....do you prep your skin before applying the sensor?
