Being Type 1 for over 40 years since early childhood opted for baritric surgery (op. Nov 2014) to permanently reduce stomach to loose weight to reduce insulin intake due to concerns about future insulin intolerance.Since successful op I'm now on 1/3 the insulin that I was on prior to the op.

Had Roux-en-Y gastric bypass in Nov 2014 to minimise future potential insulin intolerance concerns and lost 10 stone in 7 months reduced insulin as a direct result from 130 units/day to 40....SUCCESS!
