Hi.
I'm Kenny, 67 years young, and diagnosed type 2 Sept 30th 2026. I already have Osteoarthritis, Gout, CVD, hypertension and now this. Retired, thought i was fit and reasonably healthy. I do/did like my chocolate, maybe too much though.

Hi and welcome KennyBo. I found that a lot of what looked like lifetime problems - arthritis, gout etc - went at the same time as my BGs normalised. Amazing the things that improve without too much effort. It's been well over six years now and there's been no recurrance.

have a read around on the forum - there is so much stored experience on here. I'd recommend the "Success Stories" forum. Many people following different paths to the same goal.

Best of luck, questions are free and encouraged.

Welcome Kenny. I too like chocolate, but have gradually moved from milk to darker and darker. Prefer a nice 85% of which I can only mamage a square or 2 at a time. It's still a treat.
I now no longer like milk chocolate...it tastes so sweet and awful

A T2 diagnosis isn't the end of the world, my ibs disappeared as I went low carb, as did what I'd suspected as lactose intolerance , and 3 Stone!
