Hi guys, i was wondering if anyone has this monitor, and can shed some light on a query. Basically, got the monitor few days ago and my nurse said that when i open a new test strip box i need to insert a new black chip into the side (Think its called an activation key or something) however picked up my prescription today and didn't get a black chip. Looked on there website and they said you don't need to replace these chips and they are permanent. Bit baffled, anyone know about this? Thanks in advance.

As long as u got a black chip in there, you can just leave it there, no need to swap :)

You need a black chip with the code 111 on it. If you haven't got one you can ring their helpline and they will send one out to you. Hope this helps. :D

Accu-Chek are actually very good about what they offer when you ring them. They will send calibration solutions, new batteries, software, cables to link the meter to your computer -- anything you need really.
