Afew years ago i decided to stop going to my diabetic/dsn appointments i was seeing 1 doc who gave me advice only to see a different doc different advice and i always felt that any doctor i saw was always looking for things that wernt there at all, so after several years i decided to go bac and on my 1st appt the doc asked if i counted my carbs, i thought it was a trick ? at first but she then informed me there told diabetics to stop counting carbs i was proper shocked and still am to be fair but she started harping on about insulin pumps and the dafne course, im wasnt into these pumps until a friend came to me and said it does everything for you he gave me the name (omnipod) so i did abit of research and my opinion of these pumps has changed but ive been told i have to sit in a classroom and learn about adjusting my dose for normal eating just to get a pump,i did laugh at her and said what do you think ive been doing for the last 35 years its not my fault the nhs told diabetics to kill themselfs and for me to sit on my bum for a hour is a rare thing i cannot doit has anybody else had this experience?
