REALLY daft question but are there lip balms you should not use if your type 2?

Hey! I use Lush bubble gum lip scrub a lot but I just wipe it off with a wipe or cotton pad & it hasn't caused me any problems :) x Sent from the Diabetes Forum App

BD Microfine 4mm - Bad batch?

I think I may be experiencing the same issue as well! Some of my needles I don't even feel and can't believe that it's in! But other ones I try to put in and it hurts so bad that I need to take it back out!. I rotate areas also, so I can't blame it on that lol!. Sent from the Diabetes Forum App

    Hypo's

Hey! I'm new to all of this (6 weeks), but I've had a lot of hypos so far. I'm type 1, & I went through the honeymoon period a couple of weeks ago & I'm now having what my dsn described as a "mini" honeymoon period!. Hypos that I have had (that were between 3 & 1.8) have felt like I have the...

    How were you diagnosed

I was ill for months & I had blood tests that showed nothing (they hadn't checked my bs though). I had been referred to various hospital departments and again absolutely nothing. I was so down & upset because I knew how sick I was but couldn't find out why. I then took ill at work & ended up...

Hi Flakey bake! Thank you, that sounds like me!. I spoke with my dsn today and it looks like I'm in my honeymoon period! I had another one today in the 2's & didn't notice it, I only noticed as I was drinking lucozade that my hands were shaking! Not a nice experience :( Thanks for the advice...

    Hypo

Hey Daibell, I'm currently on humalog three times daily & levemir in the morning, but the background insulin was only started last week. My dietitian was working with me and working out the amount of carbs that suited for each meal and it was working really well for me. Thanks noblehead! I'll...

    Hypo

I'm not sure what's happening, but I count my carbs and stick with what my dietitian advised me to do for each meal and my dsn tells me what dose to take. I was only started on 4 units of levemir last week. I'll be extra careful over the next few days and see what happens :)

Thanks for the reply! My insulin dose changes every few days as I need to phone them daily just now and they adjust it going by my readings. It just frightens me that I don't have any symptoms!

    Hypo

Hey everyone! I was hoping for some advice please, over the past three days, I've had two pretty bad hypos both reading 2 & 2.2. The thing is, I didn't have any symptoms! I only have a "feeling" that I should check my bs and it has been low. I've had milder hypos that have produced really...

Thank you Hale710 & Daisy1 for the advice! I really appreciate it, the information is very helpful :) Hale710 - I am on humalog three times a day, before breakfast, lunch & dinner, so that's why I was having hypos shorty after eating because I wasn't consuming enough carbs. I don't need...
