Just been watching Dr Bernsteins vids on YouTube you can indeed reverse the damage. Brilliantly informative my hba1c of 5.4 is not normal after all must try to get it to 4.6 I do eat sugar still through just not as much. Have also lost 30 kg which is vital for good control.

I have seen the research on this diet and it is true.But I wonder if I will be alive after 600 calories a day?

From personal experience I have been waking 30 +~ for 6 years kept my hba1c under 6 /3 metformin per day diet not that strict so yes.Just my knees now giving trouble.

I don't know it's very dense and chewy anything is better than wheat when it comes to bread (I think)

I have 100 % rye I don't think a lot of the breads advertised as low carb are really low carb.enough for diabetics.
