    ideas for mid morning meal

you are right I'm not hungry but I know I will be before I leave work. I do already add cream and butter to my eggs but will try more and add extra eggs. Trial and error I think. I don't like being in the situation where I am hungry as I go fuzzy headed. At least I no longer eat cereal and...

    ideas for mid morning meal

Thanks for all your replies and ideas. I work in a school kitchen so can't eat at work which is why I eat before I go. I will try an extra egg and see if that is enough and look for ideas for other meals.

    Help! Cholesterol Readings

My cholesterol is going up too. It is 6.8. I am sure it is due to the cream and butter (although high cholesterol runs in my family). The GP didn't seem concerned and didn't mention statins.

    Frequency of HbA1c test ..

My latest Hba1c was 39 and my levels have been similar to your's (apart from 1 blip 6 months ago :( ). My cholesterol is also going up and I am wondering if it is too much ceam and butter. What is your cholesterol? Mine is 6.8. I aim to have my hba1c tested every 3 months but it usually 6...

Back to being pre diabetic :(

sorry Lynn I did my usual "post on the forum then forget to post again". You must have had your hba1c by now, how did it go? if your BS is OK I am sure your hba1c will be fine. my last hba1c was a real wake up call. I thought I was doing OK and as my previous hba1cs had been good and I was...

Back to being pre diabetic :(

Thanks brunneria. I am pleased to be back [emoji3]. First time round is a bit of whirlwind and learning curve. Second time round I now know I can't eat all the things I could and realise my hba1c results were good because I wasn't eating sugar.

Back to being pre diabetic :(

Thanks chalup. You're right 44 isn't bad but it has made me realise my reaction to sugar is not as good as I thought it was. We CAN do it...

Back to being pre diabetic :(

Hi avocado! I thought with the odd blip I was doing ok, obviously the blips were bigger than I thought! I found my food diaries from 2013 the other day and thought I don't need them any more so threw them away - oops! The blood sugar diet sounds like something I could do with as my weight has...

Back to being pre diabetic :(

I know that now! I thought that because my hba1c results had been good I could eat more carbs/sugar than I should. I also think I have been eating too many berries and cream. This has been a wake up call.

Back to being pre diabetic :(

As the post title says I am almost back to where I was when I first joined the forum 3 years ago. Up till now my hba1cs have been good. I started at 46 and managed to get down to 34. 15 months ago it went up to 38, but wasn't too surprised as I had eaten more carbs on occasions. Then I got...

Time to come back....if I may!

I haven't posted on the forum for so long and not really sure why. I feel I need to come back to get some control back. My last hba1c was 38 so I am not worried about that and I seem to have kept that under control. However since I left the forum my weight has gone up and I need to get it...

    Porridge

Daddys1 no problem. Any help is useful Scandi. I have eggs every morning and have berries and cream (I found yoghurt was giving me heartburn) every day so was thinking if porridge was ok I would have another option and it would be good for my cholesterol. Thanks for all the porridge/oats...
