my daughter eats as balanced healthly diet as any teenages does!!!!! we count the carbs and give the equivalent. sometimes it goes ok sometime she eats without injecting!!!!! but to me i say your body doesn.t make insulin so when you eat you need to give insulin. eat too much fast food etc you...

well as a single parent on a moderate wage .i already got child tax credits. then when i got dla for my now 12 year old daughter it automatically went up. the first year i had dla i got the higher level but this is now middle rate. hope this helps.

you can claim after 3 months of dx.request a paper form and enlist with you paediatric diabetic nurse to help you fill it in .there are a few sites you can google to help too. your child tax credits will go up as well.your child will be labelled disabled or severely disabled but do not get upset...

sounds like her long acting insulin needs to be increased. my daughter has had t1 for 18mths nearly and we are nearly getting there. jane takes 30units of levemir at night and 1unit per 7.5 grams of carbs. she still euns in 20s when sneaking food but i think shes coming roung to the idea that...

my daughter has just started secondary school and has to inject in the medical room. the reason some girls may faint at the sight of blood or a needle! she has T1 for just over a year and hasn.t come to terms with it. my thoughts are the more people see her inject the more normal it appears.
