    Type 1 Burnout

I need help as I am slowly killing myself. I've been type 1 7years and never had control. I'm exhausted. I'm at a cross road where I either seek help or continue down this destructive path. So here I am. My last A1c was 83. My readings are rarely out of the teens. I'm so tired all the time. I...

Type 1 Wording my sick line

Thanks everyone. I'm overthinking it I know. Will also ask for that test for coeliacs. I'm don't have heavy periods and I'm a meat eater so they were a bit baffled as to the anemia. Hoping the iron tabs kick in soon. Thanks again everyone xx Sent from my F8331 using Diabetes.co.uk Forum mobile app

Type 1 Wording my sick line

I imagine this is a very silly question but I've had to take some time off work. After a couple of months feeling exhausted I was diagnosed on Wed past with anemia. My bg has been running high (late teens) for the last few weeks I imagine with the worry of the test results I hadn't received at...

    Levels 25.8 plus Ketones +4

I was also told on the DAFNE course not to exercise with a bg over 13. I hope your correction kicks in and you feel better soon. Sent from my F8331 using Diabetes.co.uk Forum mobile app

Type 1 Anemia and high bgs

Thank you so much for that @SockFiddler yes it's quite a wait for an appointment but our surgery is the worst for that! I guess it could be the possible anaemia raising my bg then. I feel the symptoms very strongly so that makes sense. Thanks again for your help :) Sent from my F8331 using...

Type 1 Anemia and high bgs

Hi everyone. I seen my GP back on 11th July with symptoms matching that of anemia ie fatigue, palpations, shortness of breath etc. I had bloods taken for iron studies and b12 then a few days later they contacted me to say the doctor wanted me to make an app to discuss the results of the iron...

    Snacking

Thank you for your reply @noblehead I think it's a problem I'm only just recognising and now I've recognised it I can work on stopping it! And your proof it can be done. I'm sick of how I feel when I'm full and 'high'. Time to make changes :)

    Snacking

Yes I am bolusing all my snacks. My ratio is 2u to 10g before 6pm and 1u to 10g after 6pm. It's more an emotional need than a hunger. I think I remain 'high' because I don't give my bg a chance to come down before I eat. Hmm. I defo need to work on this. I struggle then eat and so continues this...

    Snacking

My problem seems to be snacking. Now I snack a lot. I suppose I could describe myself as a constant grazer. So in turn my bg is constantly high. For example in the evening (my worst) my bg may be 7 before dinner at 6pm. It might raise to 10 after 1 hour and I'll have a 20g snack and so it...

    Basics

Hi everyone. Been diagnosed a few years now but attempting to finally take control. I take Levimer and Novorapid. How do I know how much 1u drops me by? Do I take 1u and check my bg just until it stops dropping or is it within a time limit? Similarly how do I work out how much 10g brings me...
